Earth day

Here in the Uk they are doing and Earth day tomorrow(Saturday 27) to try and help with climate change.

They are asking people to Turn off electricity (Ie Lights) from 8.30 pm for an hour

Yes, it was here, too, Bev.  I wrote about it here in a previous year when I participated.  I intended on participating again this year, but was involved in watching recorded shows in an effort to clean up my DVR and forgot about it at the right time.  I *have* been without electricity, though, for about 2 1/2 hours this past week when we lost power two nights in a row!  The first time, it was pitch black and I couldn't even see to get out of my chair and find a flashlight!  Luckily, that time was only for about 20 minutes.  It went out briefly later that night around the time I got into bed, then the following night for nearly 2 hours.  I did have my flashlight with me then and did some meditating.  The cats were more disturbed about it than I was.
